im a 5ft (still debatable), twenty-something geek who loves Jesus and likes taking pictures of the food i eat & the people i love. i make a living typing on a computer keyboard, selling polyresin gnomes and joke telling on the side.

I’m laying on a picnic bench outside my apartment to enjoy a little sun. This is my view lol.
Although the groundhog saw his shadow and we have another 6 weeks of winter ahead of us…it was perfect weather today. It was my first Friday in awhile that I didn’t have any obligations, work or responsibilities so Daniel came up with the idea of hiking in Laguna.
Today consisted of:
- A 6 mile hike in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. It was such a steep hike!
- Lunch on the patio of Las Brisas overlooking the ocean.
- Gelato for dessert even though I was already so full.
- Playing with D&C’s doggies.
- Talking to Ging on the phone for the last two hours about good food. lol.
All the boys decided to go with Steak & Shrimp yesterday for their free lunch (an extra thank you because we hit our sales goal for the month). Today, Anne and I decided to get our free lunch at Pizza hut. Can’t wait to eat my meaty marina pasta! TGIT.
Best vanilla ice cream ever. Yay for two good days in a row at work. It seems like it’s been awhile since that has happened so this week has been refreshing :)
I can’t get this chicken & waffle cupcake out of my head. I don’t even know if I would like it if I ate it, but I’m fighting the urge to put the My Delight Cupcakery on my speed dial so I can call in at 6pm tonight to see if they have any left….
Obsessing over: This cookie that Matt just put on my desk. Soooooo good. Pretty sure he bought this from DeQuann.
Working on: Just finished checking an order for the National Wildlife Federation. Got to make sure everyone stays happy and gets their polyresin on time. lol.
Thinking about: How I want a big bowl of chili for dinner. I’m pretty sure I’ll end up having a PB sandwich though.
Anticipating: Listening to Dave Barnes old school album (KT is uploading it for me). I think it’s the perfect music for a chilly, quiet night at home tonight.
Listening to: Tim McGraw. Don’t judge. lol.
Drinking: Water. I almost stopped by for a Tea + Lemonade Monster on the way back from the post office, but I was too lazy to get out of the car.
Wishing: It was Thursday @ 6p.m. Can I win the lottery already? At least we hit the sales goal for the month with one day to spare.
Nothing like waking up from a two hour nap…to Ging holding Kushimbo in her hands.
Today consisted of:
- “Breakfast” & sighing with Ging lol.
- Running into Betty (the lady I always buy umbrellas from at trade shows).
- Eating the best 3 cheese Mac N’ Cheese at At Last Cafe (they were featured on Guy’s Diners, drive ins and dives. Even the chef came out to ask us how our food was.
- Walking shoreline village after lunch and showing Dave, Chery and Daniel all our gothic polyresin at the Pirate’s Cove. It was pretty cool to see so many of our items displayed.
- Watching the sunset on Seal Beach pier.
- Tacos from Del Taco.
- Home by 10 :)
All in all, it was a great day after a tiring week of work, work and more work.
Sadly, my nose is runny, I’m sneezing and coughing badly. Hopefully it will be gone by morning because it’s going to be another busy work week coming up.
Finally getting my car serviced…I need to plant a money tree!
