Weigh in #1
So we had our first official weigh in today. I started weighing myself on the scale starting on Friday and I had lost four pounds by this morning when I woke up. However, I only lost 1.5 pounds when they weighed me at the lab. Later on I realized (more like Matt told me) that we got weighed at the lab last Monday…so I must have gained 2.5 pounds between Monday and Friday (which is probably accurate since we all went on an eating binge before starting this study). That makes me feel better…minus the fact that binge eating is just not good. The text messages of “support” between the diet posse is helping too! Haha. I think Tin lost about 4 pounds, Matt lost about 8 and I think Joe must have lost close to 10 pounds. That’s pretty crazy for just four days, but we are drinking meal supplement shakes for lunch AND dinner. I know this isn’t the healthiest way to go, but hopefully once we lose a good amount of weight, we will be motivated to maintain it.
I doubt anyone of us will really cheat because we have to go to the lab every week to have 5-6 students weigh and measure us. I don’t want to be the only one where they say, “sorry gal, you gained weight this week.”
Although, I am already getting tired of these shakes and feeling really tired….at least this has gotten me to go back to the gym daily. I should get used to it all soon and hopefully my energy will pick up. We are already planning out celebration dinner….we will finally get to eat REAL FOOD..in moderation of course. 26 more days to go. lol.
Okay..since Tin is at the movies with Kyle..I’m going to go on a walk at the park before I head to bed.
